The European AV Landscape tracks all AV deployment in Europe. It was developed to comprehend the actual state of AV deployment in Europe and make it comparable to other markets. It is maintained by PWC Lab of Smart Mobility and in collaboration with PAVE Europe.

Each of the marker represents a project with active or planned AV deployment. Click to explore the projects and to find out more about each of them. Filter by use case, country, or deployment phase to read the landscape on your own terms.

The Data is updated on a rolling basis. To contribute a project or flag an inaccuracy, use the form on the bottom of the page.

PAVE Europe – AV Landscape Map

The key question for operators, investors, and public authorities is no longer whether AVs work, but how they achieve commercial viability. This map highlights where commercial applications are already in place and where momentum is building across Europe.
Harald Wimmer, Head of Lab, Partner at PwC
„Mobility transitions only become obvious when you bring structure to the bigger picture. By combining individual deployments into a single map, it becomes possible to identify patterns across multiple data points. The result is a clearer view of how Europe’s autonomous mobility landscape is developing.
Prof. Dr. Andreas Herrmann, Head of Lab, Director of IMO
„Europe’s autonomous vehicle landscape is more commercially advanced as well as more geographically widespead than the public assumes, and more constrained by regulatory architecture than by technology. This map shows the evidence for that.
Guido di Pasquale, Managing Director, PAVE Europe
